Kamp Khalil, Inc. was founded in 2003 by Hanif M. and Baiyina H. Khalil with the vision of preserving our Islamic legacy by creating an environment where our youth can learn and further develop their sense of self-worth and Islamic identity. Kamp Khalil was created for the sole purpose of increasing the quality of the life for those that attend, while utilizing the teachings of Al-Islam. With the prayers and support of our community and supporters like you, we have grown over the last 5 years into a 501(C)(3) corporation that has served over 135 youth from around the country. Each year we are continuing to grow in numbers and in opportunities to impact the lives of our youth. Last year we experienced successes on many levels. We raised over $9,000 in the form of sponsorships, donations, goods and services. We operated near capacity and we had a sufficient number of team leaders and parent volunteers to operate adequately. The 6th Annual Kamp Khalil is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, July 22nd-Sunday, July 26th, 2009 at The Deerhaven Retreat and Conference Center in Paisley, Florida. It is our goal to raise $10,000 towards the development of our program. In order for us to accomplish this goal, we will need the prayerful and financial support of the business and Islamic community at large. We need your support and assistance. We are currently in the process of preparing our business plan to present to investors for the purpose of accomplishing our long term goal of acquiring property to provide year-round services to our youth and our community.
